We're UPPERCASE: a magazine for the creative and curious!

This quarterly magazine is 100 pages of glorious print on paper, 8.75" x 11" perfectbound. Issues 1 and 2 are sold out. Fall (October 2009) is currently shipping, Winter (January 2010), Spring (April 2010), and Fall (October 2010) are forthcoming.

Janine Vangool, publisher, editor, designer

Janine opened UPPERCASE gallery in February 2005. Since then it has been an outlet for creative expression, product development and entrepreneurial adventure. The scope of UPPERCASE has grown by leaps and bounds and in the past year and a half, she has released three notable books: The Shatner Show, Work/Life and Old School. With more books in the works and her commitment to publishing the UPPERCASE magazine, Janine is very busy and very happy. Janine's graphic design work and self-directed projects have been recognized in Communication Arts, How, ReadyMade, Applied Arts and various competitions.

Deidre Martin, editor-at-large, audiovisual department editor

Deidre is a writer, curator and teacher. In addition to collaborating on UPPERCASE publications and exhibitions, she teaches film and visual culture at the University of Calgary. Deidre holds an MA in Film Studies from the University College, Dublin and her doctoral research (Concordia University) specializes in cinemagoing and cultural memory. Deidre's academic work has been recognized by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Gerald Pratley Award for Studies in Canadian Cinema, among other awards.
